Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
What are Tracking Technologies? We refer to cookies, web beacons (also known as pixel tags) and other similar technology as “Tracking Technology.” A “cookie” is a small text file that is sent to or accessed from your web browser or your computer’s hard drive. Some cookies exist only during a single browsing session and some are persistent over multiple browsing sessions. A cookie typically contains the name of the domain (internet location) from which the cookie originated, the “lifetime” of the cookie (when it expires), and a randomly-generated unique identifier. A cookie may also contain information about your computer, such as user settings, browsing history and activities conducted while using the Websites. A “web beacon” (also called a “pixel tag”) is a piece of computer code that enables us to monitor user activity and traffic on our Websites.
How We Use Tracking Technology. Tracking Technology helps us improve your experience of the Websites. In particular, we use Tracking Technology for the following purposes:
- Storing your preferences and settings. We may store settings that enable our Websites to operate correctly or that maintain your preferences over time on your device. For example, we save preferences, such as language and browser settings, so those do not have to be reset each time you return to the Websites.
- Sign-in and authentication. When you sign into your account on our Websites, we store a unique ID number, and the time you signed in, in an encrypted cookie on your device. This cookie allows you to move from page to page within the Website without having to sign in again on each page. You can also save your sign-in information so you do not have to sign in each time you return to the Website.
- Security. We use cookies to detect fraud and abuse of our Websites.
- Analytics. To provide our goods and services and improve your user experience on our Websites, we use cookies and other identifiers to gather usage and performance data. For example, we use cookies to count the number of unique visitors to a web page or service and to develop other statistics about the operations of our Websites. This includes cookies from us and from third-party analytics providers.
Controlling cookies. Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
Please be aware that if you choose to refuse or delete cookies, some of our Website functionality may be impaired. If you change computers, devices, or browsers, or use multiple computers, devices, or browsers, and delete your cookies, you may need to repeat this process for each computer, device, or browser. If you submit a request to obtain your Personal Information more than twice in any 12-month period, we will either: (i) proceed with honoring your request; or (ii) deny your request in writing.
Verification
In order for you to exercise your CCPA rights, we will need to obtain certain information from you to verify your identity.

We do not impose verification protocols for processing California residents’ requests to opt out of the “sale” of their Personal Information, unless we have reason to question the authenticity of a requester’s identity, in which case we may request a notarized affidavit affirming their identity and California residency.
To the extent possible, we will use our existing account authentication practices to verify your identity. Where necessary, we may request additional information about you so that we can verify your identity. California residents can empower an “authorized agent” to submit CCPA requests on their behalf through the same means outlined above through which a California resident may file a request. - signed authorization from the consumer permitting the authorized agent to submit CCPA requests on their behalf;
- proof of the consumer’s identity sufficient to satisfy our verification process that otherwise applies to CCPA requests; and
- direct confirmation sent from the consumer to us (without the authorized agent as an intermediary) affirming that the agent is authorized to act on their behalf.

We will respond to Right to Delete requests and Right to Know requests within 45 calendar days, unless we need more time, in which case we will notify you and may take up to 90 calendar days total to respond to your request. We will comply with a request to opt-out as soon as feasibly possible, but no later than 15 business days from the date we receive the request.
Financial Incentives
We may from time to time offer discounts, coupons or other offers to consumers who provide us with their name and email address. Such offers are considered “financial incentives” under the CCPA.
In addition to using such information to provide offers to you, we also use the Personal Information we collect from you to provide you with our newsletter and other relevant messaging. These financial incentives are reasonably related to the value of the Personal Information you provide.
The value to our business of any consumer’s Personal Information is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, whether and to what extent you take advantage of any coupons, discounts or other offers that we make available and the expenses we incur in offering them.
By signing up for our newsletter on our Website, you are opting in to these financial incentives. You can unsubscribe from our offers, newsletter and other communications at any time by emailing us at info@weatherbeeta.com or by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any of our emails.
